Job rates
in the UK, and especially in London, can vary significantly
depending upon your level of experience and expertise in a
particular field.
Below are some guidelines as to what you could expect for
working in the central
area. Expect rates to drop the further from London you
are - you will not get the
same rates for the same role in London as you would in Edinburgh
or Glasgow.
UK
experience is invaluable - so if you have to take a drop in
pay for your first job in London -
do it. Your keen attitude will soon get you promoted
and into the pay bracket you're aiming for -
and don't be afraid to ask! Most roles will have a three
month review after commencement - so
be prepared to know what to ask for if you feel your skillset
demands a higher rate.
Remember
the trade off between rates of pay and experience as well
- sometimes taking a dip in
your rate, in order to gain training will stand you in good
stead in the longer term, should you be
interested in furthering your career; and not just gaining
pounds in your wallet.
