Keep an eye out and you'll find travel bargains that you will
find nowhere else in the world.   There are several cheap airlines
that cater for the travel hungry, such as Go, EasyJet and Ryannair
to name a few.  

Generally out of season is the cheapest time to travel; which isn't always necessarily a
bad thing if it means avoiding queues and summer crowds, and being able to pick up better
value for money accomodation as well.  

Specials are generally found in the local TNT and Southern Cross magazines, as well as
billboarded around London's underground.

If the time that you travel isn't too much of an issue, subscribe to www.lastminute.com - who offer
great 'last minute' holiday packages.  They have a great search function too - where you can choose
the dates you want to travel, the type of trip (city, sun or surf breaks), and by budget.  It's not unusual
to be able to fly to Italy for £40 return or to Dublin for under £10!

If you're a full-time student, don't forget to buy your ISIC card (for £5) as this will get you discounts on
a lot of international travel and accomodation in hostels as well.
