Disasters

Should a nature disaster occur back home (ie: earthquakes, floods, plane crashes) you can
get up to the minute information from either the New Zealand High Commission Public Affairs
Office between 2.00 pm & 4.00 pm. or by telephone on 020 7930 8422.

Distressed New Zealanders

Please be aware that the New Zealand High Commission does not supply
loans if you run short of funds.  (Hard to believe but some people will try!)
However, as with current technology available today, funds can be
transferred to the UK from friends and relatives almost anywhere in
the world, and in a matter of hours if need be.  Should an
emergency arise, the embassy Consular Staff will gladly
try to advise you and assist where appropriate.
